The Long Eaton Guild have been holding trade exhibitions for over 50 years in our famous furniture town located in the East Midlands, where fine upholstery has been made for over 100 years.

In 2014 The town was recognised as the UK Centre of Quality Upholstery Manufacturing.

‘Long Point’ takes place in the Spring and Autumn of each year, and enhanced by ‘guest’ manufacturers and importers displaying a wide range of styles in Upholstery, Cabinet, bedroom and accessories.

This event features 27 suppliers spread over 9 locations, many showrooms are in old mills where, in 1905, more than 800 lace machines where housed, employing some 1200 twist hands, card punches and lace mechanics before the decline in trade in the 1920’s due mainly to the change of fashion. 

Upholstery was the perfect trade to fill these mills with so much skilled labour available. 

All locations are situated within a mile of the town centre and railway station. Visitors arriving by train can be meet by contacting our helpline in advance on 0115 9734481. 

Admission to all locations is by Business Card. 

Long Point enjoys the reputation of being the most enjoyable and relaxed furniture exhibition within the UK, and is the ideal vehicle for manufacturers and retailers alike to work together.
